Saipan Casino To Hire Atlantic City’s Unemployed Casino Workers

SaipanAtlantic City’s casino industry has been under threat for the last 18 months as casinos have reported a significant drop in revenue and a decline in customers. At the start of 2014, there were twelve casinos operations in Atlantic City and now there are only eight. Four casinos went bankrupt during this period and were forced to shutdown operations and layoff their casino employees.

These casino employees have struggled to find employment which has led to more seeking governement aid in the form of food stamps. Remaining casinos in Atlantic City are not on a hiring spree and the only option for these unemployed casino workers was to move out of state in the hopes of finding a new job. Most of the laid off casino workers were not prepared to go out of state as they had no guarantee of finding a job.

All that is about to change as Saipan’s Best Sunshine International Casino has sent out an open invite to unemployed casino workers in Atlantic City assuring them of a job in Saipan.

The casino is expected to kick-start operations in the month of July and is looking to hire a minimum of 180 casino workers. Saipan is a small island that is located in the South Pacific ocean and is approximately 8,000 miles from New Jersey.

The casino has a number of positions to fill such as table dealers, cashiers, shift managers and security. Renard International Hospitality Search is currently hiring on behalf of the casino and has just completed running a couple of job fairs in Atlantic City. The Saipan casino is offering a number of perks to Atlantic City casino workers in an effort to convince them to leave Atlantic City and move to the island of Saipan. Some of these perks include free travel from Saipan to Atlantic City, free housing, health insurance and a free meal available on a working shift.

Even though the job fair is completed, interested casino workers from Atlantic City are encouraged to send in their resume as the Saipan casino is still in the process of conducting interviews. The casino is also willing to pay a signing bonus to employees who are willing to join before the 10th of July. Salary packages depend on position and experience but are estimated to be around $40,000 for table dealers and around $45,000 to $75,000 for supervisors. Saipan is located in the Northern Mariana Islands which is a part of the U.S. Commonwealth.
